Working with Providers, Payers, and Other Stakeholders

NORC partners with a wide variety of health care stakeholders

While NORC has deep experience working with state and federal agencies, we have steadily expanded our work with mission-driven provider associations, payers, consumer groups, and other stakeholders in the health care industry that share our longstanding commitment to cutting-edge work in the public interest. NORC worked with Aetna on a mixed-methods evaluation of a Medicaid managed care plan that integrates physical and behavioral health services for the seriously mentally ill.

Ten Percent
Only 10% of the highest-income individuals age 85 and above have cognitive impairments, as compared to 43% of the lowest-income individuals.

NORC also conducted a literature review and interviews for Molina Healthcare to help determine best practices for coordinating services for justice-involved individuals leading up to and after their release in New Mexico, Ohio, and Maryland. For the National Investment Center for Senior Housing, NORC is using the Health and Retirement Survey and other data sources to estimate future demand for senior housing (such as assisted living or nursing homes) among individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid, but cannot afford more costly private housing and supportive care options.
